Using the "Take Me To" links

Online Banking's "Take Me To" feature allows you to choose what online banking page you would like navigate to when you sign in. This allows added convenience for you - navigate to a specific area for faster service!

To use the "Take Me To" feature, enter your Access ID. Then from the drop down menu, choose your destination and click "Log In." Once you log in, you will be taken to your chosen page.

The default to the "Take Me To" feature is Account List, which is the Online Banking home page. Other options include: Express Transfer, Primary Account Summary, Stop Payments, User Options, Nicknames, Transaction Search, and Transaction Export.

Where do I enter my password?

We are changing the way you sign in to Online Banking to better safeguard the privacy and security of your personal information. Previously, you signed in to Online Banking using your Access ID and Password. From now on, you'll also use your Enhanced Online Security feature, which consists of an authentication image and authentication pass phrase. Here's how this new service will work:
  • You'll enter your Access ID and click the Log In button.
  • On the next page, your authentication image will then be displayed. If you recognize your authentication image, you'll know you can safely enter your Password. If you don't recognize your authentication image and pass phrase when you log in, do not enter your password.
  • Your authentication image and pass phrase helps you know for sure that you are at the valid Mechanics Bank website.
NOTE: If you have not yet created your personalized authentication image and pass phrase with our Enhanced Online Security feature, you will be prompted to do so before you can sign in to Online Banking.

The easiest way is to click on the "Open a Smart & Easy Checking account" button above or the "Open Now" button on the top right of this page. By clicking this button, you will be guided to a secure web page to collect additional information and initiate the account opening process. 2. You can contact our toll-free Client Services Call Center at 800.797.6324 and one of our client services team members will take your application over the phone when it is most convenient for you. Our Client Services Call Center hours are Monday – Friday: 7 AM – 11 PM and Saturday – Sunday: 7 AM – 4 PM. 3. If you received our Smart & Easy Checking offer by mail, you can mail in the form at the bottom of the letter and we will contact you to complete the account opening process. 4. You may also choose to visit your local Mechanics Bank office, reached by clicking on the "Find your local office" button above. Thank you for considering our Smart & Easy Checking account.

Five Easy Ways to Get Smart & Easy Checking: Free with one of the following: Monthly direct deposit, or 5 or more monthly online bill payments, Automatic loan payment, $1,000 minimum daily or $1,500 average monthly balance, $5,000 or more combined deposit balances. Combined balances shall be defined as follows: When used for service charge purposes “combined deposit balances” means the average monthly balance of the primary checking account together with the combined current balances (determined by the statement date of the primary checking account) in all other deposit accounts. If you do not fulfill at least one of these criteria, a service charge of $10.00 will be assessed.
